Birdsgrove
Birdsgrove Nursing Home provides 24-hour nursing care for the elderly and dementia care. It is situated on the Warfield Village side of Bracknell and is conveniently positioned within easy reach of Maidenhead, Slough, Reading, Ascot and Windsor.
The Home
Birdsgrove is positioned in its own landscaped gardens which creates a pleasant setting, ideal for sitting or walking on fine summer days. The atmosphere in the expansive main house is both peaceful and relaxed. Accommodation consists of single bedrooms which residents are encouraged to personalise with some of their own furnishings. The home delivers nursing care for the elderly as well as respite care and convalescence. We have a self-contained dementia unit of 20 beds.
The Care
Our qualified and caring members of staff endeavour to maintain individual dignity and quality of life for all our clients in a relaxed environment that caters for individual needs. We provide a holistic approach to care which is complemented by outside professionals including GPs, Chiropodists/Foot Health Practitioners, Dentists and Opticians. Well balanced meals are prepared in-house and special dietary requirements are provided for as necessary.
The Facilities
Our full and varied Activities Programme is planned in conjunction with the residents’ personal requests. Local groups, for example Stroke Club, Age Concern and Downside Day Centre, are attended by some residents on a regular basis. The home is regularly visited by a Roman Catholic lay minister and once a month there is a Church of England service for the residents. We have a visiting hairdresser every Monday. The clients can take pleasure in sitting in our delightful garden and we always offer a warm welcome to families and friends.
